DANCE + MARTIAL ARTS

It’s fun. It could potentially save your life.

DANCE Defense is a whole body workout that incorporates multiple dance styles with MARTIAL ARTS. This is where hip hop meets boxing, Irish dance fuses with taekwondo, Bollywood blends with Krav Maga, and much more.

WHY DANCE?

Research shows that dance is an incredible workout for body and mind. People who dance are likely to…

  • feel happier and more connected to others

  • grow new neural pathways, especially in brain areas important for executive functioning

  • experience cognitive benefits, particularly those related to memory

  • develop better balance, muscle tone, cardiovascular health, and bone strength

Why MARTIAL ARTS?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO),1 in 3 women will be assaulted at some point in life. Learning martial arts prepares the body and mind to avoid victimization. The goal is to stop the attack and escape as quickly as possible. Training in martial makes you stronger, faster, and more agile. This physical transformation is often accompanied by a psychological one: Developing the self-defense mindset (“I am not a victim”) can have an unexpected and positive impact on other areas of life.
